WABB Membership Drive starts Thursday, August 15th! We need to raise over $5,000 through memberships dues. Basic membership in WABB is $40 per family.

We need your support! This money goes DIRECTLY to your student’s band education! In order to reach our goal, we need to have 125 memberships. Thank you so much for helping us out!

If you make a donation in addition to your membership dues, that money will go to WABB as a whole, not just the Grisham Band students.

What is WABB?

WABB stands for Westwood Area Band Boosters and is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization comprised of parents and guardians of band students at Canyon Vista Middle School, Grisham Middle School, and Westwood High School.

How does WABB help my Grisham Grizzly?

As a middle school band program, it costs us $23,000 to do everything we want to do each year. The District gives us $1,000. Luckily, WABB is here to help us out! WABB raises monies to fund services and educational opportunities not provided by RRISD necessary to support a high quality band program. For the 2019-2020 school year, WABB’s budget for Grisham Middle School alone this year is $15,000. We need to help with this sum by raising over $5,000 through membership dues!

How does WABB raise money?

WABB raises money through the operation of food concession stands during high school and middle school football games, WABB membership dues, corporate sponsorships, and fundraisers.

WABB needs your help with support through membership, help with fundraising, volunteering, and with spreading the word about our fundraisers.

Upcoming WABB fundraising opportunities include the annual mulch sale. This is our largest annual fundraiser, yielding over $30,000 in spring 2017. You can help your Grizzly and WABB by helping us spread the word about the mulch sale, purchasing mulch for your own needs, or by volunteering to help with mulch deliveries.
